Meet the Peninsula Producers Network 2024

BFI NETWORK South West has partnered with Screen Cornwall and Exeter Phoenix for another year, to bring the third iteration of the Peninsula Producers Network to talent in the region.  

New and emerging producers in Cornwall and Devon have been given the opportunity to join workshops, events, and a peer network centred on skills development. The group will receive support and expert guidance, in a series of events held both online and in person.

Ben Fullman - Cornwall

Ben Fullman is an up-and-coming Cornish producer known for his exceptional ability to bring creative visions to life. With a passion for filmmaking and a deep understanding of the intricacies of production, Ben has played a pivotal role in delivering a wide range of projects. 

Having directed and produced a range of narrative, music and corporate films, Ben has garnered acclaim for his ability to blend narrative depth with stunning visuals. His dedication to the art of filmmaking has earned him a reputation as a visionary, known for crafting captivating stories that resonate with audiences.  

Ben's portfolio includes an array of projects across different genres, each characterised by their compelling narratives and seamless execution. With a reputation for managing complex productions with finesse, Ben Fullman continues to be a driving force in the world of film production, consistently delivering outstanding work that resonates with audiences. 

Holly Boyden - Cornwall

With a background in theatre and HETV development Holly Boyden is a writer, producer and performer based in Cornwall. Holly trained as an actor at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and moved into television as a development professional and Script Editor.

Her first play, IT KIND OF LOOKS LIKE A DOUGHNUT was ACE funded with the support of the In Good Company Take Off Bursary and the Pleasance Regional Partnership Award. The show, on which Holly was sole producer, tackled lived experience of bisexuality, gynaecological ill-health and rural life, and premiered as the highest selling show at the Pleasance Downstairs London 2021. Holly has since been developing her practice in the South West and is delighted to be associated with Screen Cornwall as a writer and as a producer participant with the BFI Network Peninsula Producers Network 2024. 

Jake Waters - Cornwall

Jake is freelance Producer for short narrative films, working within the Cornish film industry since graduating Falmouth University studying BA Film.

Jake has worked within production on a number of short films commissioned by Screen Cornwall including Pillow Talk, Bleujyowa, King Henry, and Konin. Jake’s passion lies with facilitating the collaboration of creative talents and ensuring the production is fun, safe and diverse. 

Theresa Pine - Cornwall

Theresa has just completed the inaugural year as a participant on the NFTS - National Film and Television School  / Amazon Prime Academy. This was a paid year of classroom based learning at the NFTS and placements on Film and HETV. Theresa's placements included The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Panorama, Lucy Worsley Presents and Call the Midwife, in a variety of production roles.  She was previously a trainee on the Screen Skills First Break initiative with the art department on Beyond Paradise, which was filmed locally to her home in Cornwall.

She studied Drama and Theatre Studies at Goldsmiths and has an MA in Creative Producing (for Live Performance) from Birkbeck.  She is currently making a short form documentary. Theresa was a founder member of the Equity committee to represent creatives from Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities. 

Vicki Pinder - Devon

Vicki Pinder is a filmmaker based in Plymouth, England. Vicki works as a film lecturer and enjoys supporting and guiding aspiring filmmakers towards realising their creative visions.

Her passion for film developed at the University for the Creative Arts, where she graduated with a degree in Film Production. She later obtained a PGCE from the University of Plymouth, laying the foundation for her impressive 11-year career as an educator in film production.

Vicki’s thirst for knowledge didn’t end there and she is currently studying an MA in filmmaking, accredited by Raindance, where her passion for documentary storytelling and immersive filmmaking is entwined to create short form immersive documentaries, intended for the film festival market. This journey has reignited Vicki’s passion for film and the film industry and she is aspiring to be a film producer, using her experiences from television production to develop her expertise. She's taken on pivotal roles as a production coordinator and manager, contributing to the creation of various factual television programmes across a range of channels.

Novenka Bailey - Devon

Bait, Fisherman’s Friends, and Top Boy are some of the titles Novenka has played a part in creating within Production Accounting. But she didn’t get into TV to work in accounts and now, she would like to step out from the wings and get more hands on behind the wheel as a Producer.

Her love for imagery, stories, writing and music has been longstanding. Studying Photography led her to Africa and Asia where she spent months filming the people and their music. Returning to London, looking for a way into the industry, Novenka fell into Production Finance, where she has remained thus far, excluding a stint or two as a Production Coordinator.

Dom Lee - Devon

Dom is a freelance filmmaker, editor and producer based in Devon. He has been commissioned by Exeter Phoenix to make Rocketshed (2016) and Croak (2023) as part of their short film bursary scheme. Other projects include the recently released musical/comedy ‘Between the Lines’.

He is especially keen to connect with filmmakers who are interested in telling stories about childhood, escapism or the South West.

Alongside Devon & Cornwall Film he founded ‘SW FilmMail’ and helps organise the ‘Shooters in the Pub’ Networking event in Exeter. 

Lily Bennett - Devon

Lily Bennett (she/her) is an upcoming producer in this year’s cohort of the Peninsula Producers Network. With a diverse and growing background, as well as a passion to advance within the creative industries.

Her experience includes scripted and unscripted productions, working on projects such as: Eurovision 2023; the BBC’s Natural History Unit; NFTS x Disney Star Imagine; BFI Academy courses; and more. Lily works in production management and coordination alongside freelance producing, most notably as an apprentice for BBC Studios. At 19, Lily has already been able to achieve a lot and demonstrate her determination, including receiving an award for Best Animation whilst in college.

Lily is highly determined to see more neurodivergent representation within the industry, as well as more creative access within Devon and Cornwall.

Jacob Saul - Devon

Jacob Saul (he/him) is an award-winning filmmaker who sets out to tell unique and creative stories in a number of mediums including live-action and animation. Having worked on international projects, as a producer, he strives to raise other voices and to help share different points of view. Having recently gone freelance full-time, he's excitedly pursuing new and diverse projects to expand his practice as an artist. On top of his film work, he's also a critic for which he is building an audience online with traditional written reviews as well as analytical video essays.

Tilly Craig - Devon

Tilly Craig is is a writer, editor and producer based in southwest England. Tilly has developed text, films and events for artists as well as cultural and educational organisations including Arts University Plymouth, The Box, KARST and Radical Ecology. She recently co-edited The Dance of Moon and Sun (Fulgur, 2023) and was a coordinator for the Black Atlantic programme of decolonial activity in Plymouth. Her writing has been commissioned by arts and mental health charity Hospital Rooms as well as publications including Elephant and Suspira. She directed and produced a short documentary, A Spirit in Place (2018) which featured in Screenworks journal.
