Anne is the Head of BBC Writersroom, which finds and develops new writers and champions them across television, radio and online. The Writersroom also supports established writers, and helps specific shows to find new talent. Anne works closely with BBC Commissioning in Drama, Comedy and Children’s programmes, and with programme makers, including in-house, BBC Studios and Independent Production companies. Before joining BBC Writersroom, Anne produced and developed an extensive body of work for both radio and television.

Giles was born in Plymouth in 1971 and then lived in Devon for years.
A founding partner of United Agents, Giles is an agent representing writers and directors.
Prior to that, he worked in publishing, book-selling and once ran a mobile library.
Beryl Richards
Beryl directs Film, TV drama and comedy. In TV, as lead director, she’s helped develop and direct many popular UK teens and kids series, for which she has been awarded 5 BAFTA’s, and 4 Int. EMMY nominations, most recently for BBC drama mini-series Joe All Alone.
