Content Creation Work Experience with Screen Cornwall

We are delighted to offer 8 x Year 10 or 12 students the opportunity for a project-based work experience creating content for the Council’s New Creatives Cornwall campaign.

Monday 8th July – Friday 12th July 2024

09:30 – 15:00

Krowji, West Park, Redruth, TR15 3GE

Based on feedback from KYN (Kernow Youth Network), our young people’s advisory group, we have a framework to interview young creatives from all sub-sectors about their experiences of researching and establishing their careers. Now we need you to come and make content that can be shared with your peers!

You’ll learn basic filmmaking skills – planning, interviewing, camera, sound, editing – and then apply them immediately in making up to 4 short films. Every day will be different and you’ll need to come with a curious mind, a strong work ethic and the desire to take on multiple roles within a small team to find out what you enjoy.

Participants will need to make their own way to and from Krowji each day. If oversubscribed Screen Cornwall will allocate places based on a fair spread of schools (4 places are reserved for Redruth School participants) and answers to our questions about why you want to participate. You will be advised if you have a place by Friday 23rd February and we’re then happy to complete any paperwork your school requires.

To apply please complete this application form by Monday 19th February 2024 at 5pm stating name, school, your contact details, parental contact details, why you want to do this work experience and details of any accessibility needs you have.
