Announcing the Peninsula Producers Network 2026

Screen Cornwall and Exeter Phoenix are pleased to partner with BFI NETWORK South West again on the fifth iteration of the Peninsula Producers Network, a development programme designed specifically for new and emerging producers in Devon and Cornwall. This programme will run in parallel with the New Writers Network 2026.

The Peninsula Producers 2026 cohort will receive support and guidance, in a series of events held online and in person, to develop their producing skills and expand their knowledge of distribution and audiences.

Ellie James

Originally from Somerset, Ellie now lives and works as a freelance filmmaker and artist in Devon. Alongside this, she also works as a producer and communications manager for a Bristol-based production company, shaping projects and supporting their creative teams. More recently, Ellie has produced and co-directed an experimental short Full Steam Ahead, as well as co-directing a music video and several documentary-style pieces. Ellie is passionate about impactful storytelling created from exciting collaborations and environments where crews feel inspired, supported, and excited to make meaningful, work. Drawn to quiet, intimate narratives rooted in real lives and daily challenges, she is excited about the transformative potential of authentic, representational and engaging stories. Ellie is looking forward to developing her knowledge and connecting with other filmmakers in the region.

Esther Slater

Esther is currently building her network within Cornwall and developing her knowledge of all aspects of producing, from the creative to the legal. She aims to be part of the next generation of storytellers. Fascinated by true stories, Esther has discovered that there is often much more to people than first appears. She has a particular love of period drama, appreciating its spoken word, costumes, and grand locations. Through the PPN, she hopes to meet inspiring people to collaborate with and to gain a deeper insight into her craft.

Luke Jeffery

Luke Jeffery is a Devon-based writer, director and producer, and the founder of Wandering Tiger Productions.

His previous work includes the short films Hell’s Bells (Creative England & BFI Network) and Seeing Red (Exeter Phoenix). He was Executive Producer for Soviet Fantasia, which was shot on location in Budapest and is currently streaming on Channel 4.

Most recently Luke produced Penn Bálint’s Featherless, a BFI Network funded musical about a drag artist who begins turning into a bird.

Outside of film, he works as a freelance theatre producer and creates immersive and site-specific productions.

Luke’s interests sit firmly in the world of cult cinema, with a love of surreal storytelling and the slightly strange.

He is currently developing several projects including a feature film, and is hoping the Peninsula Producers programme will help him connect with more like-minded filmmakers in the South West.

Lorraine Molloy

Lorraine has extensive experience of working as a creative producing content in TV, film, theatre, radio and online.

Her first gig was 26 years ago in Southampton as an assistant floor manager where she worked on large events like BBC’s Children in Need. Most of Lorraine’s credits in non-scripted TV are from her work in the region’s indies and in house for the BBC including Glasgow, Belfast, Cardiff, Manchester and then for TwoFour in Plymouth - which led her to put down roots in Cornwall.

Across the UK and overseas she clocked up hours directing camera crews (now viewed as a luxury in the non-scripted world!) and also as a self-shooting producer director for shoots in jungles, hospitals and fishing boats etc. With a PGC (from Falmouth University) in “Writing for Script & Screen” Lorraine is keen to explore further opportunities in the world of scripted film and TV.

Rebecca Ramsden

Rebecca grew up in Devon.  She graduated from UWE Bristol, worked at ITV Westcountry, and then spent ten years with TwoFour in Plymouth before stepping into freelance life.

Most of her projects have involved producing and production managing branded content and TVCs that take her outside the county (and often the country!), with only a handful of shoots happening here in the South West — and she’d love to change that.

She’s hoping the Peninsula Producers Network will help her build stronger industry connections locally, so she can encourage more brands to bring their campaigns to this wonderful part of the UK and work with the talented crews based here.

Rebecca is also keen to learn more about distribution and audiences, with the goal of getting back to her passion for producing short films in the region alongside her commercial work.

Samuel Page

Samuel is a producer based in Cornwall with a passion for telling human-centred, emotionally driven stories. Working with the Worldwide Veterinary Service, he produces international charity documentaries, focusing on animal welfare and disease control. Alongside this, Sam continues to build his narrative practice, with recent projects exploring themes of childhood, family, and connection, currently awaiting premieres at festivals across the UK.

Graduating from Falmouth University in 2025, Sam has also supported several high-profile productions. His experience includes PA and production office roles on a Film4-supported feature, BBC sporting docuseries, and music videos. These opportunities have helped him understand the rhythms, pressures, and craft of professional sets.

Through the Screen Cornwall Peninsula Network Producers Programme, Sam hopes to strengthen his producing practice, build connections across the South West, and work towards developing his first funded and commissioned projects.

Libby Gibbons

Libby Gibbons is a full-time Producer currently working in-house for Falmouth based video agency Bull & Wolf where she runs campaigns and projects from inception to completion.

Alongside this, Libby has recently produced the BFI Academy PLUS supported and Screen Cornwall funded short 'Language of Life'. Other recent work includes an award winning documentary ‘Recovering the Rainforest' made in collaboration with the Woodland Trust.

James Stuart

James Stuart is a Cornwall based producer and owner of Lightbox Film Co. founded in 2015. He has produced a broad range of work across short films, documentaries, commercial content and brand campaigns, with projects achieving viral reach. His work often blends cinematic storytelling with grounded, human narratives.

With a background spanning creative development, directing, post-production and commercial delivery, James brings a holistic understanding of the entire filmmaking process. This breadth enables him to problem-solve, maintain momentum on challenging shoots, and consistently deliver high-quality, audience-focused films.

Producing credits include DROG YW GENEV VY, MY A’TH KAR, winner of Best Female Director at Milan’s Kraken International Film Festival (2024), ROSE OF NEVADA Behind the Scenes film (2025), and the upcoming feature documentary NO TREES, NO SEAS. His previous work includes TO FEEL ALIVE (Cornwall Film Festival Official Selection, 2023), STICKS (Winner – The Short Film Show, Best Fantasy, 2019), and NEW WORLD (Winchester Short Film Festival Official Selection, 2016).
