Location of the month: Truro School

In the heart of the city, Truro School is a historic landmark overlooking the Cornish landscape and Truro Cathedral. Centrally located while tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the school offers productions both a modern and traditional British school setting with classrooms, dorm rooms and assembly halls in both styles.

Both the senior and prep school are housed within extensive private grounds that include a number of striking period buildings. The senior school has a 140-year-old gothic-inspired main school building which is located at the top of a long and twisted driveway. The prep school offers Treliske House, the original school building constructed in the 1870's which has unique features such as a marble floor entrance hall, a sweeping grand wooden staircase and a unique stained glass window.

Although filming is not permitted during the school term, the school has generous holidays due to being independent and regularly welcomes production, most recently, FFP New Media for the ROSAMUNDE PILCHER series and the Hallmark production THE PRESENCE OF LOVE.

There are no vehicle restrictions at both the senior and prep schools and the sites benefit from extensive parking. Both sites are also centrally located to the rest of Cornwall and are easily accessed by the A30.
