Location of the month - Boconnnoc

Just north of the river Fowey, surrounded by the lush rural countryside of central Cornwall, lies the vast Boconnoc Estate. Bordered by mystical woodland, Boconnoc contains a diverse array of settings compatible with both exterior and interior filming.

The main house of Boconnoc estate is an incredible Georgian manor house, with grand interior spaces and original period detail, perfect for conjuring the spirit of Thomas Hardy or Jane Austen.

This detail extends into the immediate grounds, where there is a selection of outhouses, derelict barns and an ornate garden. The estate then flows into rolling fields, lakes and woodland, a small picturesque church and a historical saw mill.

To couple with the stunning visual of Boconnoc, they are also uniquely set up for film productions, with easy access onto the estate for large Lorries, onsite accommodation for up to forty people, catering facilities and spaces for production offices.

Boconnoc’s plethora of different landscapes make it felixble filming location, open to the hiring of single rooms or the whole estate.
